Attendance and Participation Policies

Dismissal Policies

UPC expects students to adhere to a strict code of conduct throughout their studies. Violations of this code may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal. Our code of conduct includes maintaining academic integrity, respectful behavior, and compliance with college regulations.

Dispute Resolution Policies

Language Proficiency Requirements Policies

English Proficiency: English is the language of instruction at UPC. All students entering the General Studies Diploma and Business Administration Management Diploma programs must demonstrate English proficiency. Requirements include standardized test scores or equivalent assessments.

Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition Policies

Purpose: This policy supports the recognition of prior learning and experiences to enhance educational outcomes. UPC values prior learning assessments as a method to acknowledge students’ previous educational and professional experiences.

Privacy & Safety Policies

Privacy Policies: UPC collects personal information to maintain student records as required by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB). This information is securely stored and used solely for administrative purposes.

Tuition Refund Policy

General Studies Diploma (GSD) Program: If UPC receives tuition from a student or a third party, refunds will be processed according to our refund policy. This ensures that refunds are handled fairly and promptly in accordance with the terms specified at the time of payment.

COVID-19 Notice

UPC has been working closely with federal and local health authorities to ensure the safety of our community during the pandemic. We continue to adapt our policies and procedures to provide a safe learning environment.

Sexual Misconduct Policy

UPC is dedicated to preventing and appropriately responding to sexual misconduct. Sexual misconduct encompasses a range of non-consensual sexual activities and behaviors. We provide resources and support for those affected and enforce strict disciplinary measures against perpetrators.
