General Studies Diploma (GSD) Program

  1. Full Refund Conditions:

    • If United Pacific College receives tuition from a student or someone on their behalf, a full refund will be provided if:
      • A notice of withdrawal is received no later than seven days after the effective contract date and before the contract start date.
      • The student, or their parent/legal guardian, signs the enrolment contract seven days or less before the contract start date, and a withdrawal notice is received before the start date.
      • The student does not attend the work experience component, and the institution fails to provide all required hours within 30 days of the contract end date.
  2. Admission Requirements:

    • A full refund of tuition and related fees will be provided if a student is enrolled without meeting admission requirements, provided they did not misrepresent their knowledge or skills during the application process.
  3. Non-Attendance:

    • If a student does not attend any of the first 30% of the instruction hours, United Pacific College may retain up to 50% of the tuition, unless the program is offered entirely through distance education.
  4. Withdrawal Policy:

    • For non-distance education programs, the following refund rules apply:
      • More than seven days after the effective contract date:
        • At least 30 days before the contract start date: up to 10% of tuition (maximum $1,000) may be retained.
        • Less than 30 days before the contract start date: up to 20% of tuition (maximum $1,300) may be retained.
      • After the contract start date:
        • Up to 10% of the instruction hours: up to 30% of tuition may be retained.
        • After 10% but before 30% of the instruction hours: up to 50% of tuition may be retained.
  5. Dismissal Policy:

    • For non-distance education programs, if a student is dismissed:
      • Equal to or before 10% of instruction hours: up to 30% of tuition may be retained.
      • After 10% but before 30% of instruction hours: up to 50% of tuition may be retained.
  6. Distance Education Programs:

    • If the GSD program is offered solely through distance education, and a student withdraws or is dismissed:
      • Up to 30% of instruction hours completed: up to 30% of tuition may be retained.
      • More than 30% but less than 50% of instruction hours completed: up to 50% of tuition may be retained.
  7. Course Materials Refund:

    • Fees for course materials paid for but not received will be refunded if a student withdraws or is dismissed.
  8. Refund Timeline:

    • Refunds will be issued within 30 days of:
      • Receipt of a withdrawal notice.
      • Delivery of a dismissal notice.
      • Notice from the registrar of non-compliance.
      • Completion of the first 30% of instruction hours if applicable.
  9. International Students:

    • If an international student is refused a study permit, the same refund policies apply as if the refusal notice were a withdrawal notice, unless:
      • The student requests an additional letter of acceptance for the same program.
      • The program is provided solely through distance education.

Business Administration and Management Diploma (BAMD) Program

  1. Full Refund Conditions:

    • A full refund will be provided if:
      • A notice of withdrawal is received no later than seven days after the effective contract date and before the contract start date.
      • The student, or their parent/legal guardian, signs the enrolment contract seven days or less before the contract start date, and a withdrawal notice is received before the start date.
